Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) can be used in a variety of beautifying therapies, including hair restoration, microneedling (vampire facial) or it can be injected directly into the face for facial rejuvenation.

 

PRF is particularly incredible at filling volume, as the fibrin acts as a “natural filler”. Both PRP and PFR are full of growth factors and nutrients that not only help with tissue regeneration and repair, they also stimulate collagen producing.

 

During a PRP/PRF appointment, blood is collected from the arm and put into a special tube. Once it is spun in a centrifuge, the platelets, plasma and fibrin (in the case of PFR) are separated from the whole blood. This “liquid gold” is then carefully removed from the tube and injected in the desired area.
